Luanda Carneiro Jacoel é uma afrobrasileira na Semana da História da Africa que ocorrerá na Noruega de 2 a 5 de setembro. Ela integra o espetáculo ” SALVE AS RAINHAS” (Hail the Queen) dedicado a homenagear as mulheres africanas e afrodescendentes presentes na Europa e Escandinavia.

With great pleasure we are proud to present this years festival! We started out in 02 and had our first festival in 05, and ever since we’ve been growing bigger and bigger. The fifth year of Afrikan History Week should be a big celebration for all people in Norway, not just Afrikans. We believe this festival should make us all proud, as it commemorates a big part of Norwegian society!

This years theme is “civilization”, a topic which aims to highlight the various migrations and travels the african cultural heritage has survived and enriched the world with. In this context, the traditional instrument Mbira is as central as the Hip-Hop movement, film as important as storytelling traditions and poetry as vibrant as traditional dances. We are breaking down barriers and combining genres like never before. Join us for a festival bound to impress you!
