Os bailarinos registrados não são profissionais reconhecidos ou em ascenção, mas sim jovens estudantes que dançam por prazer e diversão, e foi justo isso que atraiu o fotógrafo. Esses jovens participam de um programa chamado Anno’s Africa, que oferece educação artística para mais de 800 crianças no Quênia.

Foi a emoção que sentiu em ver a dedicação e a alegrias desses jovens que o moveu a realizar o ensaio – por mais de um ano, Frederik voltou para acompanhar e registrar o desenvolvimento dos alunos.
Shamick, 13 is one of the older students, and he is part of the group that train in Kenya dance studio in Karen as well. When Mike, the teacher needs to take a call, or leave the class for a few minutes, George is quick to make sure the class continues.
